India Launches Next-Generation Space Station Module Successfully

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched the first module of its planned space station into low Earth orbit. The module, named "Bharatiya Antariksh Station-1" (BAS-1), was carried by the GSLV Mk III rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
This launch represents a significant step forward for India's space ambitions, placing the country among a select group of nations capable of building and maintaining orbital infrastructure. The module will serve as the foundation for a larger station planned to be operational by 2030.
Prime Minister congratulated the ISRO team, calling it "a proud moment for 1.4 billion Indians." The module includes life support systems, solar panels, and docking ports for future expansions.
